My 1968 Century Resorter was purchased new on  9/20/1968 from Houston Century Boats which was a major Century dealer for many years in Texas by Mr. N.W, Christensen and the boat lived on  Lake McQueeny in Seguin Texas for approximately 25 years.  After the owner’s death, a family relative purchased it and moved it to his home on Lake Athens just outside of Athens Texas where it was lovingly maintained for yet another 25 years until the summer of 2018 when I purchased her with only 174 hours on the meter.  It is all original and still sports the original factory-installed interior.

FG68179 was the 130th built of the 140 FGL boats made in 1968 and is one of only 7 boats of this size that was delivered with the 390 285HP engine option.  The engine RS10-103-2694 is a Dearborn Marine InterceptorThe fiberglass Resorter 17 debuted in 1966 as a Fibersport and was quite successful in sales for Century Boats. Many were made with an optional sliding soft top.

Coincidence – The first owner Mr. N.W, Christensen previously owned a 1959 Century Resorter before making this boat purchase.  I also own a 1959 Century Resorter as well as this 1968 model.  What are the odds?
