Congratulations to Brent Howard, a pillar of the Heartland Classics Chapter of ACBS.

The Oklahoma Airport Operators Association has named Brent Howard the Airport Manager of the Year.  Brent has managed the South Grand Lake Regional Airport for nine years of growth through a federal and private partnership.

What started as a grass strip on 54 acres of pasture land, a volunteer board, and the support of the Grand Lake Community, the airport has progressed to a jet-capable airport. A mile of runway, lights, GPS approach, Fuel Farm, Fuel Truck, Based Jets, Turbines, and Light aircraft.  These improvements produce an annual economic impact of $2.5 million for the lake economy.

Heartland Classics members have been known to use the airport to fly in for the Winter Workshop held at Howard Classic Boats, even as attendees at the Annual Mahogany & Chrome Show in September.  Congratulations, Brent Howard
